Cloisonne Enamel Flask with Red Cliff Decor Ch'ing Dynasty (A.D. 1644-1911) Height 45.8cm This flask has a straight neck, double handles, and a flattened belly, two faces of which are decorated with a painting of boats sailing at Red Cliff. The sides of the belly are decorated with dragon and phoenix motifs. The partial use of cloisonne enamel to produce landscape-like lineation, together with the vivid painting, produce an effect of antique charm.
